MUSIC VIDEO
MAI VE
This is the first time I have been responsible for filming a project. In each frame, the essence of the song is captured through dreamy close-ups and evocative slow-motion sequences. In my dual role as director, DOP, and cameraman, I am proud to present 'Mai Về,' the debut song of my dear friend MyHai.
SIXTYUPTOWN x THE BANISTERZ
I was one of the cameramen for the collaboration live sessions between The Banisterz and SixtyUpTown.Because I am a member of The Banisterz, whose name appears in the title of the video, I am not listed in the credits.
Hanh Trinh Vo Dinh
I had the privilege of working as the stylist for Da Vits Scott and LEE À's music video "Hanh Trinh Vo Dinh (Way Back Home)".My challenge was to create a visual language that captured the song's emotional depth and the artists' personal stories.I aim to portray the characters' pasts and present realities through a mix of vintage and contemporary pieces. Using fashion as a tool to tell stories and connect with audiences has further solidified my passion
Hoang Mai Bay
Embracing the unexpected, I took on the challenge of directing 'Hoang Mai Bay' with just two days' notice.Despite script changes and tight deadlines, I rewrote narratives on set and directed unwaveringly.Within the 4-hour timeframe, I captured the essence of the song through dynamic visuals, impactful close-ups, and energetic sequences that showcase the talents of R$C betekar, Lil Fang, and $A Lil Van.In spite of unforeseen circumstances, this project demonstrated my agility as a filmmaker.
Iu Em Chit Mot
One week before Christmas, I received a message from a friend requesting a music video for their new song. The timeline? Less than seven days. This meant tackling everything: listening to the song, writing the script, scouting locations, contacting potential actors/actresses, and finally, filming and editing.Despite the tight deadline, we managed to pull it off! Unfortunately, the limited time prevented me from adding the finishing touch – color grading. While I'm proud of what we accomplished under pressure, I still regret not being able to elevate the video further with this final step.
